#  1 - Clean it up
Rinse your cast iron cookware with warm water using a small amount of detergent. Use a dishwashing brush or washcloth if necessary. If food particles are burnt and stick strongly to the surface, pour water into a bowl and boil for 3-5 minutes. Cool and scrub with a brush or dish scraper. Clean the surface of the cookware from food debris and rinse off the detergent.

# 2 – Dry it up
Wipe clean cookware with a towel and dry up thoroughly. Do not leave moisture on it to avoid rusting.

# 3 – Seasoning
Rub a thin layer of oil outside and inside your cookware. Do not use too much oil, as this will make the cookware sticky. Excess of oil can be easily removed with a paper towel or tissue.
